Top 5:
1. Coinbase profit surges during Bitcoin’s wild rally and selloff. The volatile trading environment during Q4 of 2021 helped quadruple Coinbase's quarterly income year-over-year. The largest US crypto exchange posted $840 million in quarterly earnings on $2.5 billion in revenue, beating analyst estimates. The platform now has 89 million total users with 11.4 million transacting monthly. All that being said, the stock (COIN) traded down 3.7% in after-hours, is down 50% from its all time high, and down 29% year to date.
2. Celsius dips into DeFi, delegating $30M in ETH on Maple Finance. The move will see Celsius issuing and managing a pool of undercollateralized loans on Maple's decentralized capital marketplace. Celsius will become the fourth pool delegate and the first from centralized finance. Borrowers on the platform consist of only institutional players, with more than $800 million in loans originated from the Maple marketplace thus far.

3. FTX moves into $300 billion luxury fashion industry with new hire. The crypto exchange started this week with a new gaming division and is now moving into high fashion by hiring Lauren Remington Platt as its head of global luxury partnerships. Platt brings her decade of experience as the founder of an on-demand beauty company that built relationships with brands like Michael Kors, Vogue, and Saks 5th Avenue. The new position will see Platt bring crypto into the fashion industry by developing partnerships to facilitate payments, authenticate luxury goods, promote digital art, and more.

4. Bloomberg inks deal to offer institutional crypto trading capabilities. The financial data and software company announced a "strategic integration" with Elwood Technologies who will provide institutional cryptocurrency trading capabilities alongside Bloomberg's existing order management system. The integration will initially benefit only customers that currently overlap between the two firms, but could eventually be rolled out to Bloomberg's 15,000+ customers that collectively manage more than $17 trillion in assets.
Price on all global spot markets is above 38k.
